Significance Of Chhath Puja
While you search for songs to share with the PM, let’s dive deep and understand the importance of Chhath Puja. This four-day Hindu festival is dedicated to Lord Surya and his sister, Chhathi Maiya, and is celebrated six days after Diwali. It is widely observed across Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and West Bengal.
During Chhath Puja, the main worshippers are called parvaitin. While the festival is traditionally observed by women, it is not restricted by gender, and many men also participate. Devotees offer prayers and fast for the well-being of their families and the prosperity of their children.
