Foodies, we come bearing some amazing news! Chef Kunal Kapur and Chef Vinesh Johny have now come together for the Pincode X LICK collaboration, where they will be celebrating the flavours of Mizoram in Bengaluru. And honestly, we can’t wait to tell you all about it! Here are all the details!

Enjoy A Reimagined Koat Pitha At Pincode By Chef Kunal Kapur

Two of India’s most celebrated chefs, Chef Kunal Kapur and Chef Vinesh Johny, are planning something big for the foodies in Bengaluru. Pincode and LICK- Lavonne Ice Cream Kitchen have now joined hands for ‘Sweet Detours’, a limited-time collaboration that brings the flavours of Mizoram to Bengaluru. These chefs will be working together to uncover India’s lesser-known dessert traditions.

At the heart of it is Koat Pitha, a traditional Mizo dessert made with banana, jaggery and rice flour. This dessert is crunchy on the outside and equally soft and warm on the inside. People in the Northeast usually eat Koat Pitha as a dessert, an evening snack, and sometimes with a hot cup of masala chai too!

A Modern Twist To A Traditional Mizo Dessert

Chef Kunal Kapur and Chef Vinesh Johny have reimagined this Northeastern dessert as a contemporary plated dessert. You can expect a crisp, churro-inspired Koat Pitha paired with a bespoke artisanal ice cream crafted by LICK using flavours inspired by the dessert itself. This means that the ice cream is made using rice, jaggery, toasted rice and sesame.

The combination of warm, crisp textures and cool, creamy ice cream offers a fresh take on a regional classic while staying true to its roots. This is amazing, right? This collaboration brings together what both brands do best. With this, Pincode is trying to celebrate India’s regional culinary flavours, while LICK is trying to reinvent small-batch artisanal ice creams. So, if you want to try this dessert, visit Pincode Bengaluru now, because it will be served for a limited time only!
