Scroll down for the details.

Mahim Mela: 10-Day Festival In Mumbai

Mahim Mela is back again this year, and the excitement is already in the air. The celebration will take place from December 5, Friday, to December 14, Sunday, running for ten days. Devotees flock to the dargah to pay tribute to the Sufi saint, while volunteers guide the crowd and keep things smooth. Beyond the spiritual vibes, the fair zone near the shore buzzes with giant wheels, rides, and festive excitement, making it a perfect choice for the December outing.

Traffic Guidelines For The Event

Mumbaikars planning to travel by road during the Mahim Mela should take note of the changes in traffic and crowd movement. According to Mid-Day, the roads most affected during this ten-day event include LJ Road, Cadell Road (SVS Road), Mahim Station Road, and Mori Road in Mahim West. Since the event draws large crowds, traffic congestion is expected to peak in the evenings, particularly between 5 PM and 1 AM.

If you don’t want any delays in travelling, avoid passing through Mahim if you’re heading towards Dadar or Bandra. You can use alternative routes like the Bandra-Worli Sea Link or outer roads for a smoother commute. Those travelling to major train terminals, airports, or hospitals should plan their journeys in advance and choose routes carefully.

The Mahim Mela is a vibrant cultural event, but it also brings heavy crowds and slow-moving traffic. Staying informed to avoid any travel hassles.
