Delhi has been witnessing hot weather over the last few days. The heatwave has kept people indoors and in air-conditioned rooms for long hours. But on June 4, light rain lashed several parts of the city, offering some relief. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has now issued a yellow alert for rainfall in Delhi-NCR for June 4 and June 5.
According to The Economic Times, there is also a possibility of hail at isolated locations across the national capital. Residents can expect light rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds reaching speeds of 40-50 kmph. Talking about Mumbai, the city woke up to warm and humid conditions on June 4. According to Mid-Day, Mumbaikars can expect pre-monsoon showers later in the day. But yes, the air quality remains satisfactory in the city.

Rainfall Expected In Bengaluru & Himachal Pradesh
Bengaluru residents should also stay careful because the city is expected to receive rainfall in the coming days. According to Asianet News English, a cyclonic circulation over the Arabian Sea is set to bring widespread rainfall across Karnataka. The IMD has issued alerts for several districts, including coastal regions. The southern interior districts are likely to experience increased rainfall over the next several days.
According to The Tribune, the IMD has also issued an orange alert for hailstorms, thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds in Kangra, Mandi, Kullu, Shimla and Sirmaur districts of Himachal Pradesh for June 5. All these weather updates point to the same thing: the monsoon seems to have arrived early in India in 2026. Yes, the rains are offering some relief from the heat, but people should still stay cautious, especially in hilly areas.
