All About Ghee Podi Spaghetti

In the video shared by Chef Yuvraj Narula, he can be seen making the unique ghee podi spaghetti. This recipe includes all the desi flavours without any sauces. If you too are fascinated by the video and want to try Ghee Podi spaghetti, here are all the ingredients you need to prepare the Podi.

Podi Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp chana dal
  • 2 tbsp white urad dal
  •  1/2 tsp coriander seeds
  •  1/2 tsp jeera
  • 1/4 tsp hing
  • 3-4 cloves of garlic
  • 10-12 curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp haldi
  • 1 tsp oil

While Blending:

  • 3 cloves
  • 1 small piece of cinnamon
  • 4-5 black pepper
  • 8-10 dried red chillies
  • 1/4 tsp hing

How To Prepare The Podi:

  1. Dry roast all the above ingredients on low for 5 minutes.
  2. Blend it into a super fine powder, and don’t forget to add salt to taste.

How To Make Ghee Podi Spaghetti

  1. Boil the spaghetti for about 9 minutes. Drain the water and keep it aside. Save a little pasta water for later.
  2. Heat a pan and add two tablespoons of desi ghee.
  3. Add a few mustard seeds, crushed garlic, and some curry leaves to the pan. Cook for a few seconds.
  4. Add two tablespoons of podi powder and mix it well for a minute.
  5. Add the boiled spaghetti to the pan. Pour in a little saved pasta water.
  6. Mix it all up for two minutes, and your ghee podi spaghetti is ready.

As soon as the chef uploaded the video, it instantly became viral, attracting mixed reactions from all over the world.
