How Mumbai Is Planning For Ganpati Visarjan?
Anant Chaturdashi is on September 25, and as people immerse Ganpati idols on this day, it can get chaotic due to the huge crowds. As per News18 report, to ensure a smooth Ganpati Visarjan, the BMC has installed more than 383 artificial immersion ponds. Other arrangements at immersion points include cranes, ambulances, motorboats, observation facilities, toilets and nirmalya collection points.
Devotees are also advised to carefully understand the instructions given at the immersion points and follow them. Apart from artificial ponds, some of the other major visarjan points in Mumbai are Girgaon Chowpatty, Juhu Beach and Dadar Chowpatty.

Special Local Trains Announced For Visarjan Day
Central Railway has decided to run 22 special night services. According to News18 report, these trains will operate on the Main Line between CSMT and Kalyan/Thane on September 23-24, September 24-25 and September 25-26 nights.
Western Railway will also change where some local trains stop at Charni Road station. This change has been made to manage the large crowd expected for Ganpati Visarjan and make passenger movement easier.
Also, to manage traffic, the Mumbai Traffic Police has announced restrictions on heavy vehicles on the Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road (JVLR). The restriction will be in effect from 10 AM on September 25 and will continue until noon on September 26.
