Booking a cab in Delhi often comes with last-minute stress. It often brings problems like sudden fare hikes, unclear pricing, and more. For daily commuters, this has long been a major frustration. To address this, the Union government is set to launch a new cab-hailing app called Bharat Taxi in Delhi this January. Scroll down to know more!

Bharat Taxi App To Launch In Delhi

Bharat Taxi is a government-backed cab app that wants to change how everyday travel feels. The goal is simple: no stress, no confusion, just smoother rides. According to Moneycontrol, all set to launch in Delhi on January 1, the app focuses on problems both passengers and drivers face daily. Commuters want fair prices they can trust, while drivers want better pay.

For years, Delhi commuters have watched ride prices jump during rush hours, late nights, festivals, rain or emergencies. One minute the fare looks fine, the next it doubles. That leaves passengers annoyed and stuck with two options: pay up or cancel.

Best Features In The New Cab App

One of the biggest features of Bharat Taxi is fixed pricing. Yes! The fare will remain the same, no matter the circumstances. There will be no surge pricing. The cab app will show the total fare before the ride begins. This step will reduce confusion and prevent disputes between passengers and drivers.

This new app also introduces a driver-friendly revenue model. As per Moneycontrol, benefiting the cab drivers, they receive more than 80% of the total fare. This share is higher than what most private cab platforms offer today. With passengers as their priority, the officials will only onboard the verified drivers. Another best part of this new app is that it will offer real-time ride tracking and round-the-clock customer support. The platform will also include safety features to help passengers feel secure.

The buzz is already real! Around 56,000 drivers in Delhi have signed up even before the launch. Bharat Taxi will offer autos, cars and bikes, giving passengers plenty of options to choose from.
