From July 1, countries including the United States, Japan, Vietnam, and Australia are implementing new visa, entry, and immigration policies that could impact your travel plans, application costs, and eligibility. Countries Introducing New Rules From July 1 For Indians

As per a news report by Business Today, from today onwards, i.e., July 1, countries like Vietnam, the US, Japan and Australia have modifications to the visa rules for Indians. Here are all the countries and their new rules.

1. Vietnam

Vietnam has implemented a compulsory health declaration for everyone entering, exiting, or travelling through the nation. The bilingual form, available in Vietnamese and English, is required to be completed within seven days of travel and applies to tourists, business travellers, students, residents, and transit passengers. Officials have also stated that the guidelines may be revised depending on the global health situation, so tourists should check with their airline and the Vietnamese authorities before departure.

2. United States

The US State Department has established a six-month pilot programme allowing eligible B-1 and B-2 visa applicants to pay an additional ₹71,000 for an interview within 10 business days. This fee is in addition to the standard ₹17581 visa application charge, taking the total to ₹88,855. The premium payment only ensures an earlier scheduled interview slot and does not improve the chances of visa acceptance or speed up the processing itself.

3. Japan

Japan has significantly increased its visa charges from July 1. A single-entry visa will now cost ₹8,850, while a multiple-entry visa will rise from around ₹17,700. The exact amount may vary depending on the country of origin and the purpose of travel, while extra service charges may apply if enquiries are submitted through official agencies.

4. Australia

Australia has raised the minimum salary requirements for employer-sponsored skilled visas. The Core Skills Income Threshold has grown from AUD 76,515 to AUD 79,499, while the Specialist Skills Income Threshold has gone up from AUD 141,210 to AUD 146,717. These revised limits apply to applications submitted on or after July 1 and affect several employer-sponsored visa pathways.

Travellers and applicants should check the submission date of their application carefully, as paperwork filed before July 1 will generally continue to be processed under the previous rules.
