This year, Radha Ashtami will be celebrated on September 19, Saturday. The festival falls on the Ashtami Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Bhadrapada in the Hindu calendar. The day marks the holy appearance of Shri Radha Rani. On this day, devotees pray to Radha-Krishna and seek love, prosperity, harmony and their blessings.
According to the Hindu Panchang, the Bhadrapada Shukla Ashtami Tithi starts on September 18, 2026, at 1 pm. It will end on September 19, 2026, at 3:26 pm. Radha Ashtami will be celebrated on September 19, when devotees can keep a vrat. According to The Times of India, the festival is celebrated with a lot of fervour and devotion in Barsana, Vrindavan, Mathura and the entire Braj region.

How To Worship Shri Radha Rani At Home
Now, let’s talk about how you can worship Shri Radha Rani at home. You can set up a worship area with an idol or image of Radha-Krishna on a clean cloth. Offer flowers and sweets, and keep your mind calm and devoted. Many devotees keep a fast until midday, while some may fast for a whole day as well. For the fast, you can eat fresh seasonal fruits, dry fruits, milk and curd.
Avoid foods made with wheat, rice, pulses and beans. Also, refrain from eating onion and garlic. You can also sing devotional songs, dance and distribute prasad to everyone. This is a day of compassion, peace, kindness, and devotion.
