Recently, an X user (@KantInEast) gave a glimpse of how luxurious the Baramunda Bus Stand in Bhubaneswar is. This bus terminal is the largest and multi-level bus hub in Odisha and is spread across 15.5 acres with three floors and 44 bus platforms. This bus stand connects Bhubaneswar to cities across Odisha and neighbouring states. It also handles over 30,000 passengers.

1. Spacious premises and parking
According to News18, the BBRABT spreads across 15.5 acres with three floors, offering 20 parking slots each for cars and bikes, plus space for 100+ auto-rickshaws, 85+ two-wheelers, 1500+ buses and 20+ taxis, ensuring smooth vehicle movement.
2. Passenger-friendly amenities
The bus stand offers modern facilities for all travellers. It has a wellness care centre by AMRI Hospital, an operations control centre, a conference room, and offices for management and the bus owners’ association. You can also access the OSRTC office and ticket counters on-site. For travelling mothers, a dedicated feeding room is available. The terminal also features various eateries, including Aahaar Kendra, OTDC’s Utkal Aroma, and a Mission Shakti Café, making travelling food-filled.
3. Closer to workspaces
One of the best highlights of this bus station is that it’s located near major work areas in Bhubaneswar. This makes commuting easier for employees, reduces travel time, and helps people reach work without stress.
4. Impressive design
The Baramunda Bus Stand welcomes visitors with a stunning main gate facing the city and a neat entrance lane. Its spacious premises include the traditional wall paintings, which add a cultural touch, making the terminal visually appealing and organised.
