₹500 Starbucks Drink Has A Dead Fly? Delhi Woman Shares Video; Brand Responds

A Delhi-based content creator sparked a social media controversy after finding what appeared to be a dead fly in her Starbucks drink, which she got for ₹500. The customer posted a picture showing the fly and demanded answers from the brand. Starbucks has now responded to the incident, which has left netizens questioning its hygiene standards.

Delhi Woman Finds Fly In Starbucks Drink

When you go out to an expensive place to drink coffee or order something to eat, you expect a standard level of hygiene, right? But this is not what happened with Shikha, a Delhi-based content creator. She had apparently ordered a strawberry-based drink from Starbucks at Terminal 1 of Delhi IGI Airport but unfortunately found a fly attached to a piece of fruit.

Shikha uploaded the picture showing the fly and tagged the brand, writing, “We need answers.”  She also mentioned that she ordered the drink for ₹500 and did not expect this from a brand that is considered one of the most popular places for coffee and snacks across the world.

Starbucks Responds To The Controversy

Netizens were quite shocked by the incident. They wrote comments like, “Starbucks, please take action,” and “Complaint to customer care.” One Instagram user even made a funny remark that read, “Starbucks or Starbugs?” Several users also questioned the handling of the beverages served at the cafe.

Wasting no time, Starbucks India responded to the controversy and apologised. They wrote, “Hi thatsheengirl – We are sorry to hear about that. Please inbox us your contact number. Our Customer Care Team will connect with you.”  The incident has once again raised questions regarding hygiene practices at big brands like Starbucks.
