Bengalureans, you now have a gift straight from South Korea! bb.q Chicken, South Korea’s favourite fried chicken chain, has made its India debut with two outlets in Namma Bengaluru.
South Korea’s bb.q Chicken Opens In Bengaluru
In what seems to be an absolute delight for Bengaluru foodies, global K-food chain bb.q Chicken has landed in the city. Its first two outlets in Koramangala and HSR Layout opened to the public on Wednesday, June 17. According to a report by The Hindu Business Line, SrikG Group is the brand’s master franchisee in India.
Apart from 2,300 restaurants in South Korea, bb.q Chicken has 1,000 outlets overseas. The USA is the fried chicken brand’s largest international market. After the Bengaluru launch in June, the company will plan to open more outlets in South India in a phased manner. Additional restaurants will come up in Kochi, Vellore, Visakhapatnam and Chennai. By 2027, bb.q Chicken aims to have 30 outlets in India and 150 by 2031.

K-drama fans would be ecstatic to know that South Korean actor and singer Lee Min-ho is the brand ambassador of bb.q Chicken. The heartthrob who has acted in shows like Boys Over Flowers, The Heirs, City Hunter and more will give an added reason for his fans to flock to India’s first two outlets of bb.q Chicken, for crispy fried chicken, kimchi rice and even softies.
