Airbnb hosts Arpita and Saurav (@twokeystogether) shared a video showing the reality of how some guests leave a property after their stay. The property featured in the video is worth ₹1.05 crore. In the clip, guests appear to have left behind half-eaten food, pizza boxes, empty cans, bottles, half-burnt cigarettes, and other rubbish. The bedsheets were also left crumpled.
The hosts reminded guests not to treat Airbnbs like hotel rooms, saying, “This isn’t a hotel room; it’s someone’s home.” They also pointed out that cleaners are not robots and also do not have an entire housekeeping team waiting to clean up. Every untidy checkout costs extra time, money, and energy. At warned that guests who leave excessive mess may face cleaning charges.
