Vasundhara Oswal is the elder daughter of billionaire businessman Pankaj Oswal. Recently, the entrepreneur took to social media to share a sad encounter she had in Switzerland, where her family lives. She shared a video on Instagram showing an argument with a Swiss neighbour who objected to her family using a lawn mower on a Thursday afternoon.
The Swiss neighbour came to the gate of their residence and demanded that they switch off the machine. During the exchange, he reportedly told them, “You are not in India.” Vasundhara responded by pointing out that there was no law preventing them from using a lawn mower at that time.

The Entrepreneur Raises Concerns Online
Sharing the video online, Vasundhara mentioned that people often assume a developed country has more developed people, but according to her, the reality can be different. She questioned whether a country’s development should be judged only by its infrastructure or also by the mindset of its people.
Vasundhara also claimed that racism and xenophobia remain significant issues in Switzerland. According to her, people often target individuals from different backgrounds and skin tones, especially those who achieve financial success. She also mentioned that while people often hear about racism in the United Kingdom and the United States, not many talk about Switzerland. According to her, 17% of people living in Switzerland have reported facing racial discrimination. She further claimed that human rights experts believe many incidents in Switzerland go unreported.
