They are carefully choosing places that offer trekking opportunities and more outdoor activities. Agoda has now shared a report on the destinations people are choosing for trekking in India. Where Are People Going For Trekking In India?

Agoda recently shared a travel trend report revealing the places people are choosing for trekking in India. As per the report, there is a sharp rise in searches for mountain destinations like Leh, Kasol, and McLeod Ganj. These places are popular choices for travellers, especially from metro cities.

Among all the locations, Leh in Ladakh has seen a rise in interest. The accommodation searches have increased by 143% compared to last year. This beautiful place is located in the Trans-Himalayan belt and is known for its stunning landscapes and high-altitude peaks like Markha Valley and Lasermo La. This destination is most searched by people from Mumbai, where searches increased by 158%, while Delhi saw a rise of 140%. Hyderabad also recorded 106% rise.

What Is The Search Rate For Other Places?

With Leh, Kasol has also attracted a lot of attention. This place has witnessed a 126% rise in searches year-on-year. Located in Himachal Pradesh, it has some amazing trekking routes like Kheerganga and Tosh Valley. Searches from New Delhi grew by 129%, while Chandigarh saw a 178% increase.

McLeod Ganj and nearby areas are also seeing strong search interest from travellers. This region offers several trekking routes in the Dhauladhar range, including Triund, Kareri Lake, and Indrahar Pass. This data from Agoda shows that, along with relaxation, people also want to enjoy adventure, thrill, and nature.
