As per a report by News 18, this new project is expected to significantly enhance connectivity across both urban and rural areas while cutting travel time between Ghaziabad and Baghpat. The Uttar Pradesh Setu Nigam has been given the responsibility of constructing these bridges. Notably, the bridges will be constructed across three different assembly constituencies: Modinagar, Loni and Muradnagar in the district, ensuring wider regional impact. Currently, the connectivity in many villages along the Hindon River remains a serious concern. As per the news portal, there is no proper road link between Mataur in Modinagar and Daulcha in Baghpat. Due to this, many residents face serious travel challenges and are forced to cross the river using boats.
The development of these three bridges is expected to directly benefit residents of more than 20 villages, such as Niwadi, Mahmadpur, Suhana, and Bhaneda. Farmers will find it easier to transport their produce to markets, while daily commuters will get better access to their workplaces.
