Noida Is Converting An Entire Landfill Into A Green Zone By Planting Saplings

The Uttar Pradesh government has been making headlines with the new developments and projects in the state. Ayodhya is a great tourist destination in the making and Noida setting the bar high with its latest projects. Noida authority planted hundreds of saplings to develop part of a landfill site in Sector 145 as a park. They remediated about 200,000 tonnes of waste. The administration has planned to convert the entire landfill into a green zone in the next eight months. Now, isn’t this a great initiative?

The Landfill Site Will Be Converted Into A Park

The 250 saplings freed the land of at least two lakh tonnes of waste. Authorities Are Treating The Biodegradable Waste

The authorities are now making sure that the waste is treated in the respective sectors. According to statistics, the city produces about 900 metric tonnes of waste daily. Apart from treating the biodegradable waste, the authorities have been encouraging the citizens to segregate waste so that the green waste can reach the compost plants at multiple locations.

A Large Forest Reserve Surrounds The Landfill Site

A large forest reserve and the Hindon river surrounds this landfill site. People living around the land located off the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway had been demanding to clear the site’s waste. Uttarakhand To Generate 5-Megawatts Of Electricity From Waste And Curb Pollution.
