Karnataka To Check Food Served In Vande Bharat
In a recent update, Karnataka Health Minister UT Khader revealed that the Food Safety Department has started checking railway establishments and pantry services. As per News18, during these inspections, officials will check the cleanliness, quality and safety of food served to passengers.
The move aims to ensure that passengers get quality food and that food safety rules are followed. Several trains, including Vande Bharat, will also be checked. Since not every train has a regular kitchen, passengers may be served items like cakes and food packed in heat boxes. Officials will collect samples of these items and test them to make sure they meet safety standards.
