However, the relief didn’t last long, as humidity levels stayed high. The city’s relative humidity was measured at 68% at 5:30 PM. As per IMD’s latest report, there are high chances of rain with thunderstorms in Delhi on Friday.

Apart from Delhi, the western parts of the country, including Konkan, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Gujarat, are likely to receive heavy rainfall. Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu are also expected to see very heavy rainfall in the coming days. Rainfall Update In Maharashtra

In the past few days, Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra have already experienced intense rainfall, leading to waterlogged roads, flight and train delays. People are working from home and are avoiding travel right now. Now, the weather department has forecasted moderate to heavy rains in several parts of Maharashtra for Friday.

In Syanachatti, a village in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, various stones, mud, and other debris were washed down through a small stream. The debris piled up and blocked the flow of the Yamuna River. For now, the authorities have evacuated people from hostels and hotels. To bring the river back to its original flow and improve the condition, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Barkot, along with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), police, fire services, and officials, are working together.

We hope everyone in these regions stays safe.
