A drastic incident took place at Erode Junction in Tamil Nadu on October 27. A woman attempted to board Train No. 22650 Yercaud Express bound for Chennai. Railway Officials Advise Passengers

Similar incidents have been reported in recent months at various railway stations. In many of these cases, passengers attempting to board or alight from moving trains have lost their footing and suffered serious injuries. Railway officials have repeatedly advised passengers to avoid boarding trains once they begin to move, stressing that a few seconds of rushing can result in life-threatening accidents.

Officials also urge travellers to reach stations early, check their coach position in advance, and wait until the train comes to a complete stop before boarding. They also advise holding onto railings and avoiding distractions such as phones while getting on or off trains.

The Railways continue to highlight the importance of passenger safety through awareness drives like Operation Jeevan Raksha, which recognises and rewards lifesaving efforts by RPF personnel.

So, the next time you travel by train, make sure to prioritise your safety above everything else.
