A video has been going viral on the internet. It was shared by Ritik (@ThenNowForeve). What looked like a simple and relatable family moment soon turned into a debate online. In the clip, family members can be seen making sandwiches together inside a train while a viral reel song plays in the background.
However, the X user did not approve of them preparing food in a public space. He reposted the video and wrote, “Railways should ban such people, they are menace in public places.”
His comment quickly grabbed attention, and many netizens shared their opinions in the comment section. Some criticised the family and said they lacked civic sense. Others supported them, saying it is a normal and common thing for Indian families to prepare snacks while travelling.

Internet Reacts To Viral Video
As the video spread across social media, the internet was divided into two sides. While some people adored it as a sweet family moment, others questioned the family’s civic sense.
Supporting the family, one user said, “Thik hai yaar, if they clean up their place after eating all their stuff, then it is fine.”
Another user also defended them, saying, “I don’t think they’re creating a menace for any passengers. They won’t dirty the compartment. I’ve met many people who carry food responsibly on trains and even bring newspapers to clean up any mess they make. The only ‘menace’ they’ve created in public is being happy, and people just get offended by it. How dare someone be so happy?”
However, not everyone agreed. Criticising the act, one user said, “Ek to ye samajh nahi aata inhe safar mein itna khana kyun hota hai. Halka phulka kha lo bhai, nahi to sara wahi baith ke khayenge.”
Another user took a stricter stand and argued, “It’s high time India introduces strict civic sense laws with real implementation, not just rules on paper. Otherwise, people will continue such behaviour, and we will keep blaming the government for everything. The truth is, we are far behind in basic civic sense, and without enforcement, nothing will change.”
