Rajeev Khandelwal Shares His Life Philosophy
On the second floor of his beautiful home, Rajeev Khandelwal has a cosy study filled with books and thoughtful gifts from fans. One of the first things that caught our attention was a hand figurine gifted to him by a fan. Rajeev shared that the piece also reflects his personal philosophy.
He explained that he does not believe his fate is written in his hands, forehead, or stars. Instead, he believes that destiny is shaped by one’s karma, a thought-provoking philosophy that truly makes you pause and reflect.
He then showed us the medals he had earned from completing marathons and revealed that they hold such a special place in his heart because he ran them after undergoing leg surgery. He shared, “Mera pair toot gaya tha, toh uski surgery hui thi. Toh maine kaha ki main test kaise karun ki main perfect ho gaya hun? So, I decided ki Ladakh mein marathon karenge! ((I broke my leg and had to get a surgery done. After that I was like how do I check that I am perfect now? So, I decided to run a marathon in Ladakh!)”
A Marathon To Check His Leg’s Recovery!
Running a marathon at such a high altitude, where even walking can feel exhausting because of the low oxygen levels, is no easy feat. So, hearing that Rajeev Khandelwal completed one after undergoing surgery genuinely left us shocked and inspired.
Sharing the reason behind it, he said, “Maine socha apne aap ko agar fitness certificate dena hai ki main perfectly fine hun, toh I will have to finish the marathon in Leh, and that also in a certain time.”
Rajeev further revealed that runners who complete the marathon in under two hours are considered part of an elite group of athletes. While he narrowly missed that mark, he proudly completed it in 2 hours and 3 minutes. Honestly, this achievement is impressive in itself, especially at the challenging altitude of Leh!
