Last Sunday, the mission permitted applicants with expired passports or those set to expire by June 30 to walk in with their applications. It also allows applicants with passports due to expire by August 31 to come in with their applications. Those who want to travel during the warmer months would benefit from this.

Aside from that, this program will aid individuals who need to travel in an emergency. Emergency passport renewals are available for students travelling to India for admission to educational institutions or to apply for student visas in other countries.
