Indian Railways is going out of its way to keep passengers’ comfort a priority. Gone are the days when complaints and suggestions were not taken into account by the Indian Railways. At present, Railways is upping its deal in providing excellent services to its passengers. Recently, Eastern Railways announced that local trains in Howrah will have LED TVs to entertain the passengers. Cool, right? Indian Railways To Introduce LED Screens On Local Trains

Yes, you heard it right! Starting from entertainment, announcements, and important information – everything will be displayed on these screens. A launch programme too, took place at the Howrah station to begin this project. You must also know that these additions to the local trains will be taken care of by a private party. Also, have we mentioned that the facility of LED screens is available in Mumbai and Mysore? However, this is a first for the Indian Railways to do so in the eastern part of India.

‘Entertain & Education’ For Local Train Passengers

Travel industry – both public and private aims to do much more for passengers who spend a lot of time commuting. Therefore, it has been announced that only good and healthy programmes will be playing on these screens. Indian Railways also informed that in each room of the rake, there will be four LED screens provided. In total, 2,400 screens will be installed in almost 50 trains by the eastern railways. Further, businesses can also use these screens for advertisements.

Well, this will definitely be a wholesome move for the passengers of the Eastern Railways and basically, more such initiatives are necessary to be taken up.
