Indian Railways Is Changing Advance Reservation Period For Trains
According to the latest changes, Indian Railways shared crucial information about cutting down the current limit for advance booking period for train tickets. Several reports stated that the limit will be decreased from 120 days to 60 days. This new decision will become effective starting from November 1, 2024, according to a report by NDTV. Do not worry if you have booked your train tickets for days after November 1 as this rule will not affect already booked journeys.
The statutory body also explained that passengers who are completing the process of booking train tickets before October 31 are coming under the advance reservation period of 120 days. The early booking limits are specific for these trains. In addition, no changes will be made in the 365-day duration of advance booking for overseas travellers, Indian Railways elaborated.
