The Indian cricket team’s 13-year ICC WC trophy drought ceased with the triumphant win against South Africa and the lifting of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Indians waited too long for this day and our Men in Blue emerged victorious and brought the glittering trophy home. Both champions and the trophy are in India and their return to home calls for epic celebrations to cherish forever. The team will celebrate the historic win with a mega victory parade in Mumbai. Ahead of the festivities, Mumbai Police issued an advisory for everyone’s safety.

Mumbai Police Released An Advisory For Cricket Fans Planning To Join The Indian Team’s Victory Parade

Our skipper invited cricket fanatics to enjoy this special victory procession on July 4. The much-awaited showcase of the grand T20 World Cup trophy with our boys dancing and cheering will be celebrated at the famous Marine Drive. Starting at 5 PM, the parade will be between Nariman Point and the Wankhade Stadium.

Remember the iconic 2011 World Cup victory parade in the City of Dreams? This time, the celebrations are going to be grander and probably more crowded to witness the World Cup Champions. To ensure security and visitors’ safety, Mumbai Police has already issued important instructions. As responsible citizens, we must abide by the rules and let the authorities continue their operations smoothly.

Once the Men in Blue land in Mumbai from Delhi, they will soon hop on an open bus for the historical procession from 5 PM to 7 PM. Dr. Pravin Mundhe, DCP Zone 1, urged visitors to visit the venue before 4:30 PM. He also shared that people should stand on the Promenade side instead of crowding the roads.

Thursday is lined up with lots of activities for our champions and victory lap at Mumbai’s iconic stadium is just like the cherry on top. Cricket fans wishing to witness this event’s magnificence with the crowd, please reach the stadium before 6 PM and grab your seats at the earliest.

With the massive crowd expected on the roads today, it will be quite difficult to be with the cricket team throughout the parade and then head to the stadium after 7 PM.

Dr. Pravin Mundhe also urged people to make the best use of public transportation facilities today as more vehicles may cause traffic congestion. This can also delay your plans. He further added, “Cross only at the junctions from the Promenade side to the Wankhede stadium side.”
