Hajj is an important religious duty that must be undertaken by Muslims at least once in their lifetime. And not just regular people, but actors, sports personalities, and other famous people are also seen undertaking this religious journey, which is certainly an inspiring one. And recently, news came out that Sania Mirza, the ace Indian tennis icon will be embarking on this journey of a lifetime.

Taking to Instagram, Sana Mirza recently put up a post wherein she was seen showing her gratitude for the opportunity to be able to embark on her sacred journey of Hajj. Seeking forgiveness for any wrongdoing or any shortcomings, she mentioned that this is going to be a transformative experience. And she hopes to come back as a better human being. While no other photos have been posted so far, related to the journey, we are sure it’s going to be a blissful one for her.

It’s worth mentioning that this journey to Hajj comes five months after the announcement of the split with cricketer husband Shoaib Malik was made official. As it happens, previously Sania Mirza travelled to the cities of Saudi Arabia in 2023. Yes, she performed Umrah in 2023 and shared images of herself along with the family on Instagram. And these were certainly some really heartwarming moments, that she shared with her fans.

Other Notable Personalities Have Also Performed This Religious Duty

Not just her, but other famous actors have also visited the religious site. Famous Indian TV actor Aly Goni also performed Umrah at Mecca during Ramadan, recently. While actor Shahrukh Khan has also previously taken a pilgrimage on his way back, after finishing his Dunki shoot in Saudi Arabia.
