Did you know that more and more Indians are travelling abroad these days? According to data shared by Uber, there has been a sharp increase in Indians travelling abroad, being second only to Americans. Over the last two years, they have noticed a surge in Indians travelling overseas. And while they’re exploring new destinations, the USA, UK, and Canada have remained the top favourites. Here are more interesting findings from this report.

Uber Data Shows Indians Are Travelling Abroad Like Never Before

The global cab-hailing app, Uber, has shared some interesting travel trends of Indians. As per their data, there has been a sharp increase in the number of Indians using the ridesharing app abroad since 2023. In fact, the number of overseas travellers is second only to Americans. This gives a fair idea about how many Indians are now travelling abroad.

Their data showed that there has been a significant increase in the number of Indians travelling abroad in the last two years. They even noted that Indians travelled to 1,000 cities across 68 countries in 2023. It is to be noted that while the number of cities explored increased significantly, the USA, the UK, and Canada remained the most Uber-ed countries by Indians.

Based on these numbers, Uber feels that during the ongoing summer travel season, Indians will surpass the records set in the previous years.

Indians Use More Luxury Vehicles While Travelling Abroad

Another interesting travel trend revealed in this Uber report showed that most Indians prefer to use luxury vehicles for Uber rides while they are abroad. As per Uber’s report, most of the countries that Indians travel to operate peer-to-peer ridesharing; this allows them to use personal vehicles to give Uber rides.

They also revealed the top car choices by Indians while travelling and here’s the list –

1. Porsche Cayenne
2. Jaguar F PACE
3. Range Rover Sport
4. Mercedes S450
5. BMW 740i M Sport
6. Lincoln Navigator
