Indians Travelling To The UAE Can Now Make UPI-Based Payments; Here’s How!

Network International Holdings has signed an MOU with NPCI International Payments Ltd (NIPL), to clarify their acceptance of Payments Interface (UPI), in the UAE. With the travel relaxations between India and the UAE, the collaboration will help Indian visitors to the UAE make payments through UPI-based mobile applications. In an official announcement made on 18th November 2021, NIPL has said that “The proposed rollout of UPI mobile payment solutions on Network International’s merchant network in the UAE is expected to commence in the first quarter of 2022 across the company’s key retail merchant partner outlets, including those in sectors such as jewellery, supermarkets, and duty-free retailers.”

Meanwhile in India, The IRCTC has now launched a new bus ticket booking service through its new microsite that allows passengers to book bus tickets online with seat selection options. The e-ticketing arm of Indian Railways already provides the facility of booking online railway and flight tickets for passengers.

Receive Refunds Immediately Upon Booking

Now, you also won’t have to wait for three days to get refunds for your cancelled train tickets booked through the IRCTC app. Passengers who book tickets online now through IRCTC-ipay, the payment gateway of IRCTC, will receive their refunds immediately after cancelling the tickets. IRCTC-ipay had started in 2019 as a part of the Digital India Campaign of the Central Government. The new upgradations will also allow passengers to book regular and tatkal tickets with ease. What Is IRCTC-ipay?

With IRCTC’s payment gateway, IRCTC-ipay, you can now book regular and tatkal tickets and also cancel tickets easily. For cancelled tickets, you will get the refunds immediately. Previously, it took 2-3 days for the refund amount to be initiated. Taking into account the increasing number of travellers via train, IRCTC has upgraded its user interface to ensure that passengers can book tickets more swiftly and easily. How To Book Tickets Using IRCTC-ipay?

  • Visit the IRCTC website
  • Submit your travel details
  • Select the train
  • Submit your credentials and login to the website
  • Enter passenger details
  • In the mode of payment, select IRCTC-ipay
  • Click on Pay and Book
  • Provide UPI/Credit Card/Debit Card details

Once you pay, your ticket will be immediately booked and you’ll receive the confirmation via SMS and e-mail.
