IndiGo Airlines Is The Most On Time Asia Pacific Airline; Ranks 4th In Low Cost Carrier Category

Cirium Aviation Analytics has released a report for ‘The On Time Performance’ for the month of March. The report analyses airlines and airports across the globe. The most ‘on time’ airlines are segregated into categories like Global Airlines, Asia Pacific Airlines, Europe Airlines, etc. And among the Asia Pacific Airlines, IndiGo has topped the list!

IndiGo Airlines Tops The ‘On Time Performance’ List For APAC!

IndiGo is one of the biggest and least expensive airlines in India. In terms of the number of passengers carried and the size of its jet fleet, it ranks fourth among Asian low-cost airlines. In the March report for ‘On Time Performance’ Airlines by Cirium Aviation Analytics, the airline ranked first among the airlines in the Asia Pacific region.

The report analysis states that the IndiGo has an 89.02 per cent rate for On Time Arrival (OTA). Out of the 55,587 flights, 99.70 per cent were tracked. It has a completion factor of 99.66 per cent.

The airline was followed by All Nippon Airways (ANA), which ranked second. It had a completion rate of 99.70 per cent and 87.24 per cent On Time Arrival. The airline to rank third was Japan Airlines with a completion rate of 99.59 per cent and 86.13 per cent. However, Singapore Airlines ranked tenth!

The report has a separate category that states the top ten airlines in the low cost carrier category. IndiGo ranked 4th in the category with completion rate of 99.66 per cent and 89.02 per cent On Time Arrival. However, the first airline to top the list was Safair Airline, based in South Africa. This airline had an On Time Arrival rate of 93.68 per cent. The airline to rank second was StarFlyer, a Japanese airline. Whereas, the third one was Azul Airlines, based in Brazil!

As for IndiGo, it is a fast growing airline. In Feb 2023, they inducted the Boeing 777 to their fleet.
