IPL fans, where are you? If you watch cricket regularly or even sometimes, you must have seen videos and memes of the infamous IPL controversy between Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq. It was a chaotic end to the match with lots of controversies, news, and players paying fines for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct. That match began a set of further controversies. Later, Naveen-ul-Haq’s Instagram story referring to Virat Kohli sparked a lot of buzz online.

Swiggy’s Post Ahead Of India vs Afghanistan Is About Aam & Chiku

Taking to the X (formerly Twitter) platform, the food delivery company has shared a cryptic post and cricket fans literally took no time to understand it.

We all know that Virat Kohli’s nickname is Chiku. Not just a nickname, there is also a fruit by the same name, Chiku. On the other hand, aam refers to cricketer Naveen-ul-Haq. A few days after the much-talked-about on-field controversy between Kohli and Naveen, the Afghanistan cricketer took to his Instagram story and shared a picture of a match between RCB and MI at the Wankhede Stadium.

The picture was taken in a hotel room when he was watching the match and eating mangoes. He shared the image captioning ‘sweet mangoes’. It was not just any other Instagram story as many Netizens believed that it was an indirect dig at Virat Kohli and his dismissal. But this was not the end. His post went viral and people began trolling him.

Naveen plays for Lucknow Super Giants in IPL and in fact, his own team posted a similar tweet taking a dig at him indirectly.

It was the night of May 1, 2023, when Lucknow’s Ekana Sports City hosted the clash of the IPL 2023 between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants. That night started the intense chaos on the field that ended up with a verbal argument between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir.

Virat Kohli is the pride of India and the entire nation came forward to support him when Naveen made such a cryptic post. It has been over 5 months since that day but still, cricket fans often troll Naveen for his dig at Virat. Right now, India is playing against Afghanistan at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium. Ahead of this match, Netizens began sharing memes indicating the months-old IPL controversy and referring to Naveen as mangoes.
