Content Creator Becomes A Momo Wala For A Day
Digital content creator Sarthak Sachdeva wanted to get a sneak peek into a momo wala or momo vendor’s business. He wanted to find out the earnings of the street vendor. In a viral reel, Sarthak declares that he will make money by selling momos for a day. The content creator jokingly asked if the momo Bhaiya would employ him.
The creator then gets to business. He spends his day preparing steamed momos and tandoori momos as hordes surround him. Sarthak notes that a plate of steamed momo costs ₹60 while tandoori momos were priced at ₹80. In one and a half hours, around 55 plates of momos were sold at the street stall. He learnt the tropes by observing the vendor and then preparing the dish himself.
As crowds of hungry customers surrounded the momo wala and Sarthak, they were busy serving one plat after another. The momos were topped with seasonings and served with chutneys and mayonnaise. Through his experience, he realised the craze of momos in India. What stunned him the most was that the vendor was out of stock in just four hours.

Momo Vendor’s Annual Earnings Shocks Netizens
At the end of the day, Sarthak asked the momo vendor for the earnings for the day. He was flabbergasted to know that they sold 121 plates of steamed momos and 70 to 80 plates of tandoori momos. This means the momo vendor made a whopping ₹13,500 in one day. When it came to expenses, the seller revealed it ranged between ₹6000 to ₹7000 rupees.
The final figures showed a monthly income of ₹2,40,0000 rupees and an annual income of ₹30, 00,000. Well, like Sarthak Netizens were astonished to know that a momo seller makes ₹30 lakhs in a year. Many joked in the comments section about switching their jobs.

A Netizen pointed out that the vendor didn’t pay direct taxes to the government. Another joked that the video motivated him to leave his studies. An Instagrammer pointed out that being a momo vendor was no easy task. It needed a lot of dedication and hard work to stand for long hours in the sweltering sun.
