The theme-based train ‘Bharat Gaurav’ launched by the Indian Railways is paving the way for a creative mode to explore the diversity of the nation. And on Tuesday, its latest addition called ‘North East Discovery’ was flagged off by the Union Minister. It is on its way to take passengers on a scenic and mesmerising journey of the Northeastern states. Though the train will offer beautiful views, you have to take a look at the interior of it!

Inside The Bharat Gaurav North East Discovery

The new addition to the Bharat Gaurav trains is truly an amazing ride. The Ministry of Railways has tweeted a video of what’s inside the North East Discovery. The video shows state-of-the-art amenities like fine dining restaurants and a mini library that will give you a delightful touristy experience. Moreover, the compartments are uniquely designed. One side of the train has beds to sleep on while the other side is lined with chairs and tables where you can eat or spend your time reading or watching the alluring view.

The train also has a kitchen, shower cubicles, sensor-based washroom functions and a foot massager. There are electronic safes, CCTV cameras and security guards in every coach. There are charging points and dainty wall lamps above the chairs where you can conveniently charge your gadgets. Besides the beds, you will see a small bedside table and waste bin.

A Ride Through The Hills Of North East!

The North East Discovery train is supposed to cover Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh. This train will take you on a 15-day journey through various significant destinations. Like Guwahati, where you will get to enjoy a sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra. One of the prime attractions of the tour is Sivasagar, the old capital of Ahom Kingdom and known for its Shiva temple.

The North East part of India is famous for its tea gardens and you will get to experience them at Jorhat. And what can be more thrilling than an overnight stay at Kaziranga and the jungle safari the next morning?
