Taking to the X platform, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) shared much-needed information about this wonderful vacation.

Here’s all about the newly launched trip.
- Named “Wonders of Assam & Meghalaya Ex Bengaluru”, it is a six-day and five-night holiday.
- According to the pre-planned itinerary, the holiday will cover breathtaking destinations including Guwahati and Kaziranga in Assam and Cherrapunji, Mawlynnong, and Shillong in Meghalaya.
- The journey will begin on December 16, 2024, from Bengaluru.
- Travellers will catch Air India Express flights to travel between Bengaluru and Guwahati.
The IRCTC package for Assam and Meghalaya includes hotel stays, flight tickets, breakfast, dinner, vehicular transportation for sightseeing, travel insurance, driver allowance, toll parking, and IRCTC Tour Escort services.
IRCTC’s Wonders of Assam & Meghalaya package starts at ₹40,700 for each traveller selecting triple occupancy. The travel cost per person increases to ₹42,500 for people interested in booking double occupancy. The most expensive package charges ₹49,500 for each traveller going for single occupancy.
These Picturesque Destinations Are Added To The Trip’s Itinerary
- The first day of the vacation is dedicated to travelling long distances and eventually spending the night in Kaziranga.
- Primary sightseeing will begin on the second day with travellers exploring the renowned Kaziranga National Park.
- On the third day of the trip, tourists will head to Nohkalikai Falls, Mawsmai Cave, and Elephant Falls.
- The next day, visitors will be taken to witness the magnificence of Living Root Bridge and Dawki Lake.
- On day 5, the team of tourists will explore Don Bosco Museum and Umiam Lake in Meghalaya and Guwahati’s Balaji temple.
- The scenic holiday will conclude on a spiritual note by visiting the iconic Maa Kamakhya Temple.
