In August 2021, the Indian Railways had launched a Vistadome coach route from Guwahati to Assam’s Haflong. The coach comes with large glass windows and transparent ceilings to offer a 360-degree view of the splendid surroundings. The train route is flanked by the lush green mountainscapes of the northeast to give travellers a surreal experience. Usually, the cost per seat on the Vistadome coach of the Guwahati-New Haflong route is ₹1150/person. Now, IRCTC has also launched a 4 nights 5 days Vistadome Package named the Enchanting Hills of Assam starting at ₹25,515/person. The package will include train tickets, accommodation, pick up and drops, sightseeing, meals and travel insurance.
Day 1 & Day 2: Exploring Haflong
On day 1, guests will reach the New Haflong station at 11:55 AM. They can explore spots like Barial hill range, Abraham viewpoint and Haflong local market in the Haflong town. At night, they can halt at the hotel in Haflong. The next day, they can witness the beauty of the Bendao Baiglai waterfall and Mualpong Haflong viewpoint. They can also enjoy the soft breeze by taking a boat ride on the Haflong lake. This will be followed by an overnight stay at Haflong.

Day 3, Day 4, Day 5: Exploring Panimur, Umrangsho & Ethnic Village
On the third day, tourists availing the package can visit the breathtaking Panimur waterfalls. On Day 4, they can explore the Umrangsho Golf link. On days 3 and 4, guests need to stay overnight at Haflong. On day 5, they can check out from their Haflong hotel and can proceed towards the Ethnic Village that showcases the pastoral life of the local tribes. From here, they will be dropped off at the New Haflong Railway Station.
