The Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) west zone is ready to run its very first trip of the Bharat Gaurav train. The first trip will begin on March 9 and will be an 11-day Dakshin Yatra Rail Tour. This package starts from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and will take you across some revered pilgrimage sites in South India. IRCTC West Zone To Launch Bharat Gaurav Tour
Through the Dakshin Yatra Rail Tour package, you will be visiting places like Mysuru, Kanyakumari, Rameshwaram, Tirupati, Bangalore, Thiruvananthapuram, and Madurai. The cost of this IRCTC-launched package in the west zone is ₹44,000 per person for the second AC class, ₹28,000 for the third AC class, and ₹18,000 for the sleeper class. The price of the package includes your hotel and meal expenses.
The train will leave CSMT at 12:20 am on March 9 and get back to CSMT at 11:30 am on March 19. The train is also scheduled to halt at Pune and Kalyan stations while leaving and returning to both. There will be about 10 Bharat Gaurav tour packages. Of these 10, two will be from Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pune, and Indore, respectively. These trains are specially curated for tourism, which is sure to enhance people’s travelling experiences.
The Trips Will Be Run Between March And May
In order to run Bharat Gaurav trains, the IRCTC West Zone has registered itself with the Central Railway. All of the trips will take place between March and May. The Bharat Gaurav Policy of the Ministry of Railways is specially made for experiential tourism on rails throughout the country. The main purpose of the Bharat Gaurav Train scheme is to showcase India’s rich culture and heritage to the people in the country and across the globe.
The maiden trip has already received an amazing response from tourists, as out of 720 berths, 300 have already been booked. The trains will also have an all-over passenger announcement system in order to inform all the passengers at once. It will also have in-house security with CCTVs and trained personnel.
