“Itni Garmi Hai Yahan,” Indian Man Warns Against Travelling To Europe This Summer; Netizens Agree

Europe draws a lot of tourists in summer. With its sun-drenched coastlines, historic cities, and vibrant festivals, the continent comes to life during summer. However, with heatwaves taking over Europe this season, many major tourist hubs are experiencing extensive heat. An Indian traveller took to Instagram to warn people against travelling to Europe this summer, as it is extremely hot there right now. Netizens reacted to the post and shared their experiences as well.

Indian Traveller Urges People To Avoid Europe This Summer

Bulbul Pandey (@pandeyjipardesi) took to Instagram to share his experience while travelling in Europe this summer. In the post, he has urged people to avoid the European cities on their bucket list right now, as most of them are experiencing unbearably high temperatures right now.

“Guys, jitne bhi log hai jo apni summer vacations Europe main aake manana chahte hai, bhaiya matt aao! Jhel jaaoge. Itni garmi hai yahan,” he says in the now-viral Instagram post. He goes on to explain how air conditioning and fans are not readily available in many places, as most European countries don’t experience such high temperatures.

Small hotel rooms with exorbitant charges, smelly cities, water bottles priced as much as €2.5 (₹251)–these were just a few complaints he had with many European cities this summer. He instead suggests enjoying the monsoon in India right now, as the European summer is too much to handle.

“Agar Europe ghoomne aana hai toh aaram se aaye September, October main–autumn season main. Abhi aane ki koi zaroorat nahi hai. June, July, August toh bilkul avoid kare,” he said.

Netizens React & Share Their Experience

Many netizens agreed with Bulbul Pandey’s post about the unbearable heat in Europe this summer. While many commented about travelling to New Zealand and other Asian countries this summer, others shared their own experiences in Europe.

“He is absolutely right. The majority of cafés and restaurants didn’t have fans, and also, forget about ACs here. Not a good idea to go in the summer months. We had a difficult time. Even the cheapest hotel in India has fans or coolers. Here in Italy and Switzerland, it seems that they are not ready for summer… no fans anywhere,” one of the comments read.

“My daughter lives in Germany…she says the same. She purchased a fan and an air cooler this season,” another netizen shared.

“Europe is currently facing heat waves like never before. Tourists should always check the weather before visiting any country,” one comment wisely recommended.

However, not everyone agreed, and one of them commented, “I don’t know which place you went to in Europe, no doubt it’s warm, but there are air conditioners on the train, the tram, bus, and the hotels everywhere. It’s beautiful. Don’t spread rumours. I was there last week, and that’s amazing.”
