Ditch store-bought bourbon biscuits and make these chocolate-rich delights at home instead. Shivesh Bhatia’s recent recipe reel explains all the steps to prepare these delectable sweet and crispy snacks at home.

Here’s How To Make These Delicious Biscuits
Ingredients:
For biscuits
- 1+1/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 5 tbsp cold butter
- 1/2 cup condensed milk
- Granulated sugar
For chocolate filling
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup icing sugar
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp milk
Method:
- Start preparing bourbon biscuits by making a dough. In a mixing bowl, add whole wheat flour, butter, and cocoa powder and mix well. Mix all the ingredients gently to get a powder-like texture.
- Next, add condensed milk and knead well to make a smooth dough.
- In the next step, place the dough in between two parchment papers and roll it out evenly. Do not put a lot of pressure while rolling it.
- Cut the flattened dough into biscuit shapes using a sharp knife.
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper and put the biscuits.
- Take a stick and poke small holes in the slices just like in bourbon biscuits.
- Sprinkle granulated sugar on top and bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 180°C.
- Meanwhile, start making the rich creamy filling. Add softened butter, icing sugar, cocoa powder, and milk to a mixing bowl and whip gently.
- Once done, layer the chocolate filling on one freshly baked bourbon biscuit and sandwich it with another biscuit on top.
- Follow the same layering step for all the biscuits and delicious homemade bourbon biscuits are ready to munch on.
