Jaipur could soon have a new tourist attraction beyond its forts, palaces, and heritage sites. SkyDome, described by its developers as India’s first and largest permanent immersive event dome, is set to open in late October 2026 in Kukas, one of the city’s key hospitality and destination wedding corridors. Jaipur To Get India’s First & Largest Permanent Immersive Event Dome
Located next to ITC Mementoes, the venue is designed to host a wide range of events, including destination weddings, concerts, live entertainment, corporate conferences, exhibitions, cultural performances and large-scale celebrations. Its addition could give visitors another reason to include the Kukas hospitality belt in their Jaipur itineraries, particularly for those interested in immersive entertainment and large-format experiences. The dome will feature a 60-metre-diameter structure rising 21 metres high, with around 30,000 sq ft of indoor space. Combining indoor and outdoor infrastructure, it will be capable of accommodating more than 5,000 guests across different event formats.
One of its main attractions will be a 360-degree immersive projection environment powered by 17 Christie 50,000-lumen laser projectors. The technology will allow the interiors and exterior shell of the dome to be transformed for different themes, live productions, brand experiences and celebrations.
SkyDome will also have an integrated production system, allowing event organisers, brands and creators to incorporate the physical structure into their visual environments rather than relying only on traditional stages and screens.
Why It Could Add To Jaipur’s Tourist Appeal
Jaipur is already a major destination for heritage tourism, luxury stays and destination weddings. With SkyDome, the city is set to add a technology-led entertainment venue to its tourism and hospitality landscape. The developers said the venue is designed to cater to both domestic and international visitors and could host events ranging from concerts and cultural shows to weddings and brand experiences. Its location in the Kukas hospitality corridor also places it close to several luxury hotels and resorts, potentially making it part of the wider experience for tourists visiting Jaipur.
Sachin Mutreja, Director, SkyDome, told The Economic Times that the venue aims to create a permanent large-scale destination where technology, infrastructure and creative production come together. According to the latest FICCI-EY report cited by the company, India’s organised live-events market is projected to reach ₹196 billion by 2028.
