The residents of this magnificent place are demanding better infrastructure as part of its growth.
Inhabitants Of Keran Village Want Improved Infrastructure
Border tourism is rising exponentially and gaining momentum at this breathtaking village in Jammu and Kashmir. Though tourists love visiting this location along the LoC for offbeat experiences, locals raised a few issues about development to candidates in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly polls. The villagers demand basic necessities to flourish in the tourism sector.
Villagers do not have access to good-quality cemented roads, medical facilities, mobile network connections, proper Internet connectivity, and such daily essential services. The recent surge in tourist footfall is a great symbol of the chances to evolve the travel sector here. From 2021, travel enthusiasts are eligible to explore this incredibly beautiful village only after getting permission from Kupwara’s Kralpora police station. It is a mandate to travel to Keran village for security purposes.
Border tourism has proven to be a wonderful decision of the government as residents are witnessing an uptick in travellers and this surely boosts the travel industry and local businesses. Developed facilities such as better roads are likely to bolster the sector and welcome more tourists.
