Janmashtami is the celebration of the birth of Krishna, which is the eighth avatar of Vishnu. Mathura gets buzzing during this time of the year, and it receives a lot of footfall. Barsana is a historical town in Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. Historical in the sense that it is the birthplace of the Hindu Goddess, Radha. Kriti Mandir in Barsana is famous for being the only temple in the world to have Goddess Radha in the lap of her mother, Kriti Mayia. Baby Radha is sitting on the lap of her mother while Kriti Mayia is embracing her. You will find idols of Radha-Krishna as well. 

You will be mesmerised when you visit this temple because the carvings have been intricate and beautifully done. Try to visit this during the evenings as well, with the sunset and temple lights glowing, you will be in awe. This temple was envisioned by Jagadguru Kripalu Ji Maharaj, and it was inaugurated in the year 2019.

Another interesting thing is that the temple is not built using any steel or cement! They wanted to keep the temple as authentic as possible. So, methods of traditional construction like the Dravidian and Nagara style were followed for the architecture of this temple. Hence, you can spot the architecture both being in a curvilinear and pyramidal tower.
