Junglia, Okinawa: Dino-Themed Rides To Opening Date, All About Japan’s New Adventure Park

Set to open in July 2025, Junglia Okinawa is a brand-new theme park that will be unlike anything the island has ever seen. It is situated in the beautiful jungle of northern Okinawa. The 2.4-acre theme park, which is situated in the Yambaru zone that is protected by UNESCO, provides visitors with breathtaking vistas of subtropical jungles. The park’s design makes use of Okinawa’s natural terrain and has added more trees to the site, which was once a golf field.

The park features activities where visitors may enjoy both nature and heart-pounding adventures, drawing inspiration from the Yambaru Jungle. A jeep journey through a jungle teeming with 20 life-sized dinosaurs, including a massive 19-metre brachiosaurus, is part of the Dinosaur Safari experience. Even the most ardent dinosaur enthusiasts will rethink their desire for a true Jurassic Park after seeing the T-rex. The Sky Phoenix gives you the feeling of flying, and the Gravity Drop gives you a heart-pounding plummet for those who want even more thrill.

On the softer side is the Horizon Balloon, a hot air balloon that takes passengers 200 meters above the ground and provides them with a glass of champagne in addition to amazing vistas. After the adventure, unwind at Spa Junglia, which offers natural hot springs, rock baths, outdoor saunas, and cave baths, all of which are accompanied by tranquil natural noises.

The park has ten stores, fifteen restaurants, twenty-two attractions, and a spa with infinity pools. This project’s mastermind is a group of people under the direction of Tsuyoshi Morioka, the visionary who brought Universal Studios Japan back to life. The glass-walled Panorama eating restaurant, which completely embraces its location in Yambaru, is one of Junglia’s most remarkable eating experiences. Visitors can choose ‘bird’s nest’ seating, which consists of outdoor pods with unobstructed views of the lush canopy of the jungle.

Visitors can enjoy expansive views from the Infinity Terrace, a large observation deck, where they may spot a brachiosaurus soaring out of the woods or a far-off hot air balloon. With live music, acrobatic acts, and a fireworks and music extravaganza, Junglia changes as night falls, all against the striking backdrop of the old forest.
