Foodies in the national capital, here is some good news just for you! Now you can enjoy your favourite food even at midnight. The government of Delhi is all set to launch mobile food truck hubs in the city, just like the ones in Hong Kong, New York, Chicago, and other cities. They have planned on 16 locations and will be launching the first set before December 15.

Mobile food truck hubs will soon be seen in the national capital, as CM Arvind Kejriwal has given his approval for the same. These food truck hubs will pop up in some of the most prominent city locations, including Delhi Metro Rail Corporation parking lots.
The 16 locations planned are Vasant Vihar, Vishwavidyalaya, Janakpuri East, August Kranti Road, DDA Park in Rohini, Press Enclave Road in Saket, Janakpuri Dilli Haat, near the DM West office in Rajouri Garden, Rohini East, Patel Chowk, Dwarka Sector 9, Netaji Subhash Place, near Priya Cinema in Vasant Vihar, Pitampura Dilli Haat, and IP Extension.
According to officials, the Cabinet will approve the food truck policy by the end of August.
Concessionaires Will Be Chosen By Bid
A meeting with stakeholders will be held shortly to identify and freeze suitable locations. This meeting is expected to include government officials, private players, land-owning agencies, and states with experience. It is expected to take place between June 15 and July 15.
Once successful implementation takes place, the model of these mobile food truck hubs will be copied across Delhi. The concessionaires to operate these food trucks will be chosen through bids.
The Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, announced this plan on Twitter. He said that with this plan, Delhiites can enjoy delicious food right in the middle of the night. Also, he mentioned that this will generate job opportunities and, in turn, strengthen the economy. (as per Times Now)
