The first look of Kangana Ranaut’s spine-chilling political drama ‘Emergency’ is finally here. The 1:21 minute long first look is nothing less than sheer brilliance. Kangana Ranaut is skin deep into her character of Indira Gandhi and looks totally unrecognizable. ‘Emergency’ is one of the most important films to be coming out of Bollywood as it’s based on an event in history that shook India. North East A Favorite Shoot Location For Bollywood?

The first look of Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film Emergency has stirred a lot of speculations. One of them is regarding the location of the film. The shooting of the film is ongoing and Kangana was spotted in Delhi for the same. But hidden sources claim the actor might have shot portions of Emergency in the northeastern state of Assam. Of late, Bollywood has been shooting a lot of films in the Northeast. From Shahid Kapoor’s Rangoon to Ayushmaan Khurana’s Anek, Northeast and its culture are explored a lot by Bollywood. NorthEast is also portrayed in films because of its political history. So it won’t be surprising if Emergency reveals glimpses of the Northeast on the big screen!

Rumour has it that Kangana also stayed in one of the best resorts in Assam during her shooting schedule. Kangana Ranaut took to Instagram on Thursday to reveal the first look of Emergency. The actor put up the post with a caption, “Presenting Her Who Was Called Sir”. The Emergency in India was a 21-month period from 1975 to 1977. During this period Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had a state of emergency declared across the country. Kangana’s upcoming film on the same is stealing all the limelight currently. Fans cannot contain their excitement to watch the film on the big screen. Written by Ritesh Shah, Emergency is all set for a theatrical release in 2023.
