On this episode of Tere Gully Mein, he met with our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani and showed us his childhood home where he built a garage for his first car ever! Scroll to learn all about it.

Kapil Sharma Built A Garage Near His Childhood Home

We were cruising down the streets of Amritsar after eating some of the most authentic Amristar chhole kulchas and lassi. This time, we went to his childhood police quarter house in Amristar. Just as we took a turn into his lane inside the quarters, the first thing we saw was a brick room with a locked tin gate.

Kapil said, “Yaar voh garage maine banaya tha, aaj tak vahi bana hua hai.” He shared that he bought a second-hand car at the price of ₹3.5 lakhs and made the garage for it 16 years back! Both Kamiya and Kapil were amazed to see it.

Next, we moved on to Kapil Sharma’s childhood home in the police quarters which was right near the garage he talked about. He showed us the flat where he lived from the outside. It was number 147 and while we were chatting about some of his childhood memories on the streets of this locality, a few of his then-neighbours recognised him from their balcony and waved at him.

Kamiya asked him how many years his family stayed at this place. He thought for a second and replied, “1999 se le kar hum rahe hai koi 2009 tak, toh das saal.” Next, he revealed that he began with theatre and after the death of his father, he stayed outside Amristar. He travelled to Delhi for plays and Ludhiana was where his college was.
