Do you know which is the longest railway platform in the entire world? Is it in India or abroad? Well, Karnataka houses this longest rail platform named Shree Siddharoodha Swamiji Hubballi Station. The Hubballi station of the South Western Railway zone has made its name in the prestigious Guinness Book of World Records. Indian Railways’ Hubballi station got this recognition because of having the Shree Siddharoodha Swamiji station, the longest railway platform in the world.

The project of developing the Hubballi station comes under the remodelling of the Hubballi yard. This took a budget of about ₹20.1 crores to construct the station. The facilities provided at the Shree Siddharoodha Swamiji Hubballi Station are top-notch. While working on this construction project in February 2021, the remodelling of the Hubballi yard was inducted to the use of electronic interlocking. This procedure helps to provide a convenient and simpler experience of receipt and dispatch of trains at the longest railway platform in the world.
