Sagarkatte is a small hamlet located around 25 kilometres from Mysuru, tucked away in Karnataka’s Mandya district. It’s the kind of place where life moves slowly. The name “Sagarkatte” comes from two Kannada words — “Sagara” meaning ocean, and “Katte” meaning bund. At this place, you’ll see wide stretches of water, quiet views, and the kind of peaceful village silence that instantly relaxes you. One of the best parts here is the road and railway track running parallel to each other along the backwaters, giving you beautiful views from both sides.

This hidden gem in India charms tourists with its beautiful bridge over the Cauvery River and its little railway station.
