The spiritual centre, which is supported by the SCOPE Foundation, will also have an 11-foot-tall statue of “Mother Earth” made from a single piece of rock. As a representation of water and waves, it will have blue granite and whitestone embedded in it. At an estimated cost of Rs 70 crore, the facility would be built on 12 acres of land.

The statue project has been offered to renowned sculptor Arun Yogiraj. He created the statue of Subash Chandra Bose. The offer for spiritual centre’s statue is made by Dr. Murthy’s father, Hallegere Lakshmi Narashima Murthy.

The project’s implementation will also involve enlisting renowned architects and designers. There will be 64 statues of philosophers, from Socrates to Swami Vivekananda, in the spiritual centre. (As per The New Indian Express)

The Yoga and Meditation Sathwik Centre, which will be built on eight acres of land, will be dedicated by the foundation with an invitation to the Dalai Lama, the head of Tibetan Buddhism.

Jill Biden, the first lady of the US, and Vice President Kamala Harris will launch a walkathon to promote the “Mother of Earth” idea on September 10 in Washington, DC. According to Narashima Murthy, similar gatherings would be staged in other foreign cities. (As per The New Indian Express)
