In an unfortunate incident, actor Kartik Aaryan’s uncle and aunt passed away due to a massive hoarding collapsing in the Ghatkopar locality. The actor’s relatives were amongst the 16 people who lost their lives in the tragic mishap. As per the latest reports, the deceased was a couple and turned out to be closely related to the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 actor.

Kartik Aaryan’s Uncle & Aunt Among Victims Of Ghatkopar Hoarding Collapse

According to a report by The Indian Express, the deceased was identified as 60-year-old Manoj Chansoria, a retired Air Traffic Control (ATC) general manager and 59-year-old Anita, his wife. They are relatives of the actor. Chansoria and his wife stopped at a petrol pump near the  120-footx120-foot billboard which was illegally installed on May 13 evening. They stopped to refill their car’s fuel tank before they embarked on a road trip to their home in Madhya Pradesh.

Due to the torrential rains and dust storms, the hoarding collapsed right on top of their car and crushed the couple to their deaths. The hoarding claimed the lives of 14 people and injured 75 others. Kartik attended their last rites in Mumbai on Thursday.

The Actor Attended The Funeral With His Family Members

The Indian Express report also mentioned that the couple visited Mumbai to complete visa-related formalities. They planned to visit their son Yash in the United States. However, this fatal incident shattered their dreams. Their final rites were held at the Sahar crematorium on Thursday. Kartik and his family members attended the funeral. The actor hasn’t issued a statement about this saddening incident.
