On Sunday evening, a massive fire broke out in the North Kashmir’s Dangiwacha area located in Sopore in Baramulla’s Rafiabad. The cause of the fire is not known yet but investigations are underway. While no injuries to or loss of human lives have been reported, the same cannot be said for structural damage. The fire ended up gutting a total of five structures in the vicinity. Kashmir: Massive Fire In Baramulla’s Rafiabad Causes Damage
According to Newsx Live, the blaze took place on the evening of March 17 around 11:30 PM. A total of four residential houses and one cowshed were gutted in the fire. As per KNS Kashmir, two of the people whose houses burned down are named Nisar Ahmad Shah and Merik Ahmad Shah.
The houses were located in the Dangiwacha area of Sopore in Rafiabad which is located in North Kashmir’s Baramulla. No loss of lives has been reported so far. If reports are to go by, the fire seems to have been contained.

Fire Curbed By Joint Efforts Of Indian Army And Fire Dept
The fire department rushed to the spot as soon as it was reported. Even personnel from the Indian Army joined in the effort to douse the fire.
The fire was brought under control owing to the joint effort of the J&K Police, the fire department and the Indian Army.
In other similar news, a massive wildfire also broke out in the Zabarwan range in Baramulla. Prior to this, another fire broke out at a hotel in Gulmarg. A video of smoke plumes erupting from Pine Palace Platinum in Gulmarg went viral on social media.
